A charming 17th Century stone barn conversion , currently set up as two cottages with internal adjoining access, in need of refurbishment. The whole would make a character home with 4 bedrooms or a 3 bedroom home with one bedroom annex cottage, situated just a short drive from the Exmoor town of Dulverton. No onward chain.
This 17th Century stone built former barn and stable was converted into two cottages in c. 1990. The property is now in need of updating and renovation and could readily be adapted to make a single dwelling.
Foxes, the one bedroom cottage, comprises a sitting room with inglenook fireplace, a kitchenette and upstairs is a double bedroom and bathroom. Piggies is the larger 3 bedroom cottage comprising a kitchen, sitting room with woodburning stove, dining room with a bathroom leading off. Steps lead from the dining room to the sitting room in Foxes, interconnecting both cottages. Upstairs in Piggies can be found two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a bathroom.
To the front of the property is a south facing, gravelled seating area and a small courtyard area with garden shed/store. Situated separately from the property is a stone built linhay, which could provide parking for two vehicles after renovation.
The property is situated at the end of a quiet country lane amidst beautiful rolling countryside, just a short drive from the historic Exmoor town of Dulverton which offers a great variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a library, doctors surgery, pharmacy and schools. The market town of Tiverton to the south with dual carriageway access to Junction 27 of the M5 Motorway and Tiverton Parkway mainline station with services to London (Paddington 2 hours).
From Dulverton proceed up Andrews Hill and at the top take the right hand turn to Hawkridge. After 2 miles turn left at the T junction and proceed for 300 metres before turning left down the no through lane. Follow this for 500 metres and park at the rear of the building along the lane. The cottages will be found on the right hand side as you walk between a large stone barn and the cottages.
