From Cullompton and Junction 28 of the M5, proceed in the direction of Honiton for a very short distance, turning immediately left after the motorway bridge to Bradfield and Croyle. Proceed for 1.9 miles and just after the entrance to Bradfield House on the left, take the right turn signposted Croyle and Wressing. Proceed to the hamlet of Croyle and at Yew Wood Cross/Croyle, turn left to Ashill and Uffculme. Thereafter, where the road bears round to the right, turn left (effectively straight on) signposted to Uffculme 1.75 miles. Proceed for 0.4 miles and take the right turn at the grass triangle in the road. After approximately 0.3 miles, 23 Southill Cottages can be seen on the left, the second of the thatched cottages.
