We are delighted to announce that Estate Agents have been given a ‘Green Light’ to become active in Sales and Lettings, but we must still proceed with caution. We will adhere fully to the Government guidelines for the safety and good health of all.
In short, and despite guidance that will inevitably follow; we are now able to visit your properties to provide you with a valuation whether you are selling or letting, take photographs and details to get your property on the market, organise Virtual Viewing Tours but most importantly, viewings can be taken.
This evening Parliament published several amendments to the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020.
This includes the addition of five short paragraphs that allow both agents and members of the public to travel to view properties and move home.
“to undertake any of the following activities in connection with the purchase, sale, letting or rental of a residential property— (i) visiting estate or letting agents, developer sales offices or show homes; (ii) viewing residential properties to look for a property to buy or rent; (iii) preparing a residential property to move in;(iv) moving home; (v) visiting a residential property to undertake any activities required for the rental or sale of that property”
Although only a technical change to the Coronavirus law, this effectively re-opens the sales and rental markets.
Seddons consider safety to be paramount, and we would encourage everyone to ensure that they follow Government guidelines closely to protect others and themselves. Please contact us to discuss how we anticipate resuming service and the precautions that are currently recommended (subject to change).
If you would like to discuss any aspect of selling or to arrange a free property consultation, please get in touch with your local Seddons branch.
