This fine period cottage is believed to have been originally built for the workers of the neighbouring farm and occupies a very pleasant semi rural position with lovely country and river walks nearby. The cottage is of traditional construction under a slate roof and retains some character features, notably the large inglenook fireplace, in the sitting room, as well as a large original ceiling beam. The comfortable accommodation is well appointed with the benefit of a modern bathroom with white suite, a pine fitted kitchen, uPVC double glazing and oil fired central heating. To the rear of the cottage there is a very pleasant garden, with sitting areas, lawn and room for a vegetable patch.
Uffculme has excellent local amenities, all within walking distance of the property. These include mini markets, a post office, two pubs, churches, a village hall with sports field, doctor's surgery, veterinary practice and a renowned secondary school (Ofsted rated 'Outstanding') and a popular primary school. There are regular bus services through the village and quick motorway access, ideal for commuting to Exeter or Taunton.
