East Timewell Cottage is situated in an idyllic rural location, at the end of a quiet, no through country lane on the Devon/ Somerset border. Timewell is a small hamlet surrounded by beautiful, rolling countryside, approximately one mile from the Exmoor National Park and the pretty little village of Morebath. Both Bampton and Dulverton lie just a few miles away, each with a good range of amenities including bakery, greengrocer, butchers, convenience stores, post office, chemist , pubs, restaurants, library, primary schools and doctors surgeries. The market town of Tiverton lies ten miles to the south with excellent shopping, recreational and educational facilities including Blundell's School and Tiverton High School. There is also dual carriageway access to Junction 27 of the M5 motorway and Tiverton Parkway mainline station which provides regular intercity services to London (Paddington 2 hours). The whole area is well known for its outstanding natural beauty with Exmoor National Park to the north and Wimbleball Lake renowned for its fly fishing, sailing, rowing and may other activities.
East Timewell Cottage forms part of an 18th century country house, which was once part of a large estate which included Morebath Manor and Timewell House. From Seddons Bampton office proceed up to the junction and turn right into Castle Street in the Taunton direction on the B3227. At the top of the hill turn left signed for Morebath and follow the road for c.2 miles into the village. Pass through the village and continue for approximately 0.75 miles, on Timewell Hill turn right off the main road into a lane marked no through road. Continue along until you reach a fork in the lane with the a gate and sign for East Timewell ahead of you, bear right and continue on to the five bar gate for East Timewell Cottage.
