This character cottage is located in the heart of this pretty Mid Devon Village. The village has many attractions, among them are an excellent Primary School, village shop, two pubs and a wealth of local clubs. One of the main selling points is the close proximity to Exeter, which is 10 miles away, making this a sought after commuter village.
The cottage has been extended at the rear to offer a kitchen dining room that opens out to the rear garden. The sitting room is a very cosy space with a wood burning stove warming the cottage right through and the room even has space for a piano. On the first floor are two double bedrooms and the bathroom. Above the first floor is an attic/storage room with velux windows which is currently serving as a great study and a room for star gazing.
One of the best features of the cottage is the south facing garden. You really would not expect to find a garden like this behind this unassuming exterior. The first section is laid to lawn and a great place for young children. Beyond the lawn is a seating area with areas of block pavia and decking with surrounding borders, which in the spring are an array of flowering plants and shrubs. A timber garden store is also found here. A vegetable garden and working area is found at the very end of the garden. A great place for the compost bin and wheel barrows.
Cheriton Fitzpaine is about 5 miles from Crediton, 7 miles from Tiverton, 10 miles from Cullompton and 10 miles from Exeter so is accessible to a good range of shopping and leisure facilities. A very popular village that offers a new Primary School, St Matthews Church, Methodist Chapel, local farm shop and the two pubs The Ring of Bells and The Half Moon are central to the community. The village also has many social clubs including gardening, yoga, sports and bowling.
Please see the floor plan for the dimensions. The internal photos have been taken with a wide angle lens to show more of the rooms.
