Our Vendor Comments

All in all this is a wonderful place to live. The views are outstanding, the sunsets are amazing. Quite often you will see gliders and hot air balloons.

We have loved living in our house for many years. To the very large garage there is a utility area with plumbing for washing machine etc. Also housed in the garage is the hot water pressurised system. The hot water can be operated by the Heritage Range or the immersion heater. The garage could also be developed for further accommodation if required subject to the usual consents etc.

In the living room there is a hand carved Ham Stone fireplace together with a Coalbrookdale wood burner by Aga.

The property benefits from a super-fast fibre broadband connection.

There are steps up to a pedestrian gate at the top right hand side of the garden which leads to the woods known as Blackborough Common where there are various bridle paths and footpaths which is excellent for dog walking or rambling.

There are various bridle paths and footpaths in and around the village.

There is a vibrant village community with various activities held at the village hall which include social events, Yoga, Garden Club, Blackborough Fruit and Veg show, Plant Sale to name but a few. There is also the Blackborough Social Club and Skittles Team. A Mystery Supper evening is held around September each year. There is also the Blackborough Horse and Dog Show which is an annual event. For those wishing for a quiet life there is no pressure to join in the activities. A monthly parish magazine is available to purchase which lists all the activities and news for the areas of Blackborough, Sainthill and Kentisbeare.

The villagers look forward to the snow when it comes and engage in snow boarding and sledging at the Beacon. The Beacon is lit on all national occasions including the 100 year anniversary of World War 1.
