About Bampton & the surrounding area
Bampton is a delightful little town situated in the Batherm Valley amidst some of Devon's most beautiful countryside. The town lies about 7 miles to the north of Tiverton and 4 miles to the south of the Exmoor National Park.
The town is well known for its many prizes in the Britain in Bloom competition and during the summer months the town is a riot of colour. There are local shops in the town as well as a splendid bakers and a very good health centre.
