Valuations

Several members of the team are RICS Registered Valuers and are able to undertake formal valuations for all types of agricultural and residential properties for a variety of purposes including probate, taxation, bank lending and matrimonial purposes.

Tenancy Advice

Richard Stagg is a recognised expert in giving tenancy advice and is recommended by the Tenant Farmers Association, and Seddons are also on the NFU Tenancy Advice Panel for the South West Area. Advice can be given in relation to matters including the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986, the farm business tenancy legislation (Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995), advice on residential tenancies and other matters.

Letting of land and agricultural property

We are specialists in letting agricultural land and property including advising on rents and the best methods of letting, drawing up relevant agreements, finding tenants and advising on all other land management issues.

Environmental Stewardship

Advice on completing applications and managing Entry, Higher Level, Organic and Upland Stewardship Agreements.

We have extensive experience in acting for both acquiring authorities and landowners in relation to pipeline and other utility company works, compulsory purchase schemes, electricity wayleaves, telecom masts and other similar matters.

Single Farm Payment Scheme

We have extensive experience in dealing with the Single Farm Payment Scheme, and dealing with the Rural Payments Agency on a variety of issues and are up to date with all of the current reforms in this system.
